Not intending to turn this into the Alzheimer's thread, but while doing a little browsing I came across a news piece that said James Doohan, Scotty from "Star Trek", has been diagnosed with the early stages of it. He apparently had been having memory problems for the past several months. A convention appearance and his receiving a star on the Walk of Fame are expected to be his last really public outings.
